Attempting to destroy the sexual faculty is the devil's specialty. This is because the sexual faculty images the relationship of Christ, the bridegroom, and His Church, the Bride. The marital embrace is also a profound mystery that reflects the image of God as family. Thus the devil wants more than anything to destroy this gift. The devil makes this attempt to destroy the gift of sexuality through rape, incest, domestic violence, abortion, fornication, concubinage, promiscuity, lust, pornography, molesting, homosexual acts (sodomy), masturbation, and other sexual perversions.
