How do I get rid of a possibly possessed ring? Lauren Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Question:

First, I would like to explain that I have always been sensative to paranormal activity. I have seen many spirits, some who have tried to interact with me. I have seen what I believe to be demons and have had physical attacks while growing up. I have actually felt myself being dragged to hell by many demons while I was sleeping during a dark period of my life. I have been very careful not to bring anything into my home or into myself that would open any doors as I have gotten control over the "visits" from entities. There is however always someone around in my home that has not bothered me more then making itself known. Maybe it's a family member but I am not sure.

My teenage daughter brought home a fake silver ring that has a pentagram on it. To me it appears satanic. I did not know she had it. She said she threw it away in one of our trash cans because she took it from her friend and did not want her friend around it either. I found it today sitting on my dresser. It had not been there earlier in the day. It had been in the house for four days, and in those four days I have seen what I would describe as a three foot troll out of the corner of my eye, movement out of the corner of my eye, my other daughter's name has been called, there is a wierd bird outside that is new, and a penny flew off the floor and hit my daughter (who brought it home) in the head.

I have put it outside, but am cautious on how to handle this. What is the best cleansing or blessing for the house and how should I dispose of this ring? Should I do this or should my daughter who brought it home do this? I did read one of your responses on dealing with occult items and the prayer/excercism that you had written out. I just want to make sure who needs to do it and if I should even attempt since I have been plagued by demons in my past.

Thank you for your time,
Lauren

Dear Lauren:

I am happy to hear that you are cautious about what comes into your home. We should all be so cautious, but especially those who have had experiences like yours need to extra cautious.

The ring should be destroyed and properly disposed. We have a document entitled, Procedure to Destroy Occultic or Cursed Objects.

But since there can be some risk in dealing with such objects, the St. Padre Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling offers to destroy these items for people if they choose.

We can have one of our staff contact you about that possibility if you wish to avail yourself of that service.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
