Question:

A few days ago when I was driving through my neighborhood, 2 little boys about 10 or 11 years old stopped me. They had been skateboarding and one of them had fallen and had a bad cut to his wrist which needed stitches. I stopped and after giving him a little first aid followed them home and told him to get his parents to take him straight to the emergency room.

Brother they were covered with pentagrams. They had them on their clothing, jewellry, skateboards, etc. along with the nazi and anarchy symbols. I wanted to tell them to get rid of all of it in fact I wanted to yell it. I wished I could have talked to them but considering the situation I couldn't.

Having been around people in the occult I could sense a feeling of heaviness and dirtiness that is hard to explain. They were actually kind of frightening to be around.

Is there any kind of prayer that I could pray for these 2 little boys? I do not know them or their families and/or whether their parents are also involved in the occult but they are so young and that is so sad.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Stacey:

It is very sad to see these things and I have to wonder where the parents are in the lives of these kids. For the most part these kids with all these symbols and graffiti may not actually be in the occult, but flirt with such things as a way to rebel. Nevertheless, this is negative and dark imagery. Such imagery, used even by people who have no intentions of occult involvement, affects their mind, attitudes, and demeanor. It can make one vulnerable to demonic attention.

As for a prayer, just pray that they will find a more productive and positive way to express themselves and that their guardian angels be ever vilgiant to protect them. Also that their parents will do proper parenting.

The Prayer for a Friend or Relative that is in the Catalog could be modified for this purpose if you want a pre-written prayer.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
