Question: Hello and God bless, Ive had several awful experiences with people involved in witchcraft. I myself noticed that their eyes sometimes turned completely or partialy dark, lacking the white part of the eye. Is it possible that the same thing occures to a person under attack? Ive searched the web, but I havent found anything sensible. All those sites are non-catholic and therefore not trustworthy. My first encounter with the phenomenon took place some 25 years ago. I was still at university. I then didnt know what exactly it was, but I went to church often and ran away from my boyfriend who was actually under attack. I just left him. Ever since I have been able to feel or sense the evil around. Ive never married, I do not complain but now Ive almost the same situation. Anyway, in those past 25-26 years Ive seen many horrible things and somehow I can often discern persons - not spirits - involved in occult. Few people believe me and wouldnt pray or go to church. Is it possible to show them any "tangible" evidence that evil forces are around them. For, it very often happenes that you can explain many missfortunes "rationally"! - or as a mere coincidence. But I recently discoverde that two of my friends who denounced the evil person or were exposed to her eyes lost their kiddneys. Its too much! So, I think it would be quite useful if you can give (of course, if possible) a list of signes that person can know that somebody is wicca or under influence of evil. Thank you for the forum. It has helped me a lot so far, even though I seem to attract such things into my life. May Almighty be always by your side. Amen. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Constanca: A person can be a practicing witch, satanist, occultist and be your next door neighbor and you will never know it unless they tell you or talk or practice it publicly. There is no definitive signs to tell if someone is involved in these things. There are signs of demonization, however, but you are not qualified to be making diagnosis on such matters. It is never about a formula of signs. The only way to discern demonization is by looking at the whole picture of the person's life, activities, symptoms, and phenomena. You need to be very careful about these subjective feelings about whether or not someone is involved in the occult. If you were to discern such a thing and tell someone about your discernment you could be sued for slander by the person you accuse. If you believe you have a discerning ability, you need to find a good spiritual director to help you discern your ability and to properly interpret and channel it. God Bless,
