Question: Dear br. Ignatius, thank God for you and for this page! My question: Is there a prayer especially for music? (I think the prayer of deliverance). For example: what to do when someone has long heard the song The Oath, the group Merciful Fate, They are satanistical group. Or the song Stairway To Heaven, Led Zeppelin. Thank you for your answer.

Concerning a prayer of deliverance for those who have been caught up in listening to any music that is unpleasing to God, try this one: Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that I have been listening to ___{list the music, musical groups, and musicians}____ . I thank you for forgiving me for listening to this music that does not glorify you in any way and may even promote sin and the devil, and is otherwise unpleasing and offensive to You. I now renounce all music, musician, musical groups I have listed, and for all other music that I listened to in my past that I do not now remember. I now break any and all attachments or bondage that has been created by my listening to this music. With the intercessions of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Blessed St. Michael the Archangel, Sts. Benedict and Padre Pio, my Guardian Angel, and all the Saints and Angels of Heaven, and powerful in the holy authority of the Name of Jesus Christ, I take back the ground in my life gained by Satan through listening to such music.
