Question for friend Renee Sunday, December 21, 2008

Question:

Hi,

I have a "friend" who had stopped praying to God because something in her life, she was unhappy about. Mostly herself.

She had been listening to new age, meditating, etc. But stopped praying to God.

One day after watching a program, she started praying again. The rosary, the divine mercy, over and over and over again.

That night, she went to sleep. She was awoken by a terrible, horrible sound of a man screaming as if he were from the pits of hell coming from inside her.

It really scared her. What should she do?

PS In the past when she played with this stuff, she told me, she vomited (sorry if its gross) green. She didn't eat anything green.

What should I do for her?

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Renee:

Merry Christmas!

I am glad to hear your friend as returned to the faith. The attacks she is receiving in her sleep is an attempt of the devil to keep her from returning to the Faith. No matter how hard the devil tries to keep her from God, she needs to stand firm and persevere. Eventually the devil will release that his efforts will not work and will likely go away. The bible says to "resist the devil and he will flee."

What you can do is to pray for her and encourage she to persevere in the faith and no give up. There may be prayers in our Prayer Catalog that will be useful for you in prayers for her.

But, most of all your friend needs to help herself. She needs to pray the appropriate prayers in that Catalog, plus go through the Seven Step for Self Deliverance also linked below.

Living the good Christian life is always the first thing for her to do. That means going to Church each Sunday, daily prayers and devotions, and doing the good works that Christians ought to do.

If doing all this does not bring her some relief, then she may need to ask for Deliverance Counseling. At the bottom of the HELP page we have a link for a Help Request. The Help Request is closed at the moment, but will be open after the first of the year.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
