Question: Hi: I believe my 7 year old daughter has evil spirits who are harming her emotionally. She has an unhealthy obession with the devil and has violent nightmares. Since this has started she also has started to have behavior and emotional problems. It is too long to go into but I know it is the evil one messing with her. I have had the house blesssed by a Tridentine priest and am using sacramentals. I have been making frequent use of the sacraments myself but as she is not the age for Communion I don't know what to do for her. Someone suggested to me that I approach our priest and see if she could make her Communion early. She normally won't be making it for two more years. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would advise a few more things: 1) search her room to see if there are any occult items hidden anywhere (e.g., in the closet, under the bed, under the mattress, under a rug, etc.) These items may be candles, a skull of a small animal she found in the yard, writings in a unknown or made-up language or code, as well as the typical graffiti, signs, symbols. Any items found need to be removed from her room and destroyed. 2) bless her room with holy water daily and bless her with Holy Water before she goes to bed each night. 3) do not let her watch any TV or movies or play games with an occult, horror, demonic theme. 4) get a copy of the CD, Sleep Sound in Jesus by Michael Card, and play that all night long with the volume very low so as not to disturb. This CD seems to be very good in keeping evil spirits away. 5) pray spiritual warrior prayers on her behalf from our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog linked below. Pray whatever prayers are appropriate for your situation, but I would specifically recommend the Hedge Prayers of Protection, the Breaking of Spells and Curses, the Bedtime Prayer of Protection, the Prayer for our Children, and also the Rebuking Particular Spirits. 6) you and your husband, and your child as she is able, need to follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance found on the HELP page linked below. Even though it is your daughter having the problem, to battle this you and your husband need to be prepared for battle. The Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance will do that. 7) one other thing, a delicate thing. There may be a need to investigate the possibility of sexual abuse. If she has been molested by a babysitter, a neighbor, a teacher, a cousin, or a stranger this could explain the source that got this started. We will certainly be in prayer for her and your family. It sounds like you are doing the right things. I would advise a few more things:
