Question: My close Hindu friends may some times bring prasads(offered food) from their temples? I just take them thinking that it is like any other food( St paul says about it- that there is no idol and food, as such, is not made impure by it(1Corinthians 8: 4–6) ) ?Brother can I take these offered foods (prasads) given from Hindu temples? Can I beleive that there is no evil influence on it and it will not affect me if I take it for friendship sake, after saying a deliverance prayed on it? ( My firm belief is that propagating a fear about it and keeping me away from it out of fear is improper for a baptised catholic). Please clarify.
