Thank you for having answered my questions | Ed | Friday, October 10, 2008 |
Question: Thank you for having answered my questions. Since I take no drugs, I did look at the mental health side of it. Basically I couldn’t convince the doctor that I didn’t hear voices. I took some multiple choice tests but couldn’t find myself in them. I did get strange looks when I called one of the ink spots the phoenix, well it looked like an egg with an arm breaking through to me. It took 30 years after that for me to hear my first voice (less that a hand full in total). I went to get a coke from a back room in a sports facility when a warm feeling came over me and a very polite male voice said “Slowdown”. More recently while walking in the mall a wind came out of a store and surrounded me and a female voice said to me “Do Not Touch Me.” My last two disembodied voices came to me after I moved into a new home. She said to me “I hate” you. The fallowing week she jumped me. I could actually feel/taste her hate with my bones. My final voice came days later when a male voice spoke my full sir name. My house seams to be clear now, but I do now occasionally get locutions which are mostly positive “don’t worry; it’s ok; pray” but sometimes when praying I get a “stop”. In the following tree examples I have the feeling that God wants to get my attention. Many years ago I was debating creation on a science form. My arguments were that science only believed in hardware and viewed life as if Shakespeare was ink and ink was chemistry. This is when I got an email from a man. He told me that he was catholic and needed some points of arguments from a fundamentalist like me because he wanted to marry a girl whose aggressive pastor wanted him to convert. I told him that it I was catholic too and not to assume that this was about his conversion and not the pastors. After many emails I finally told him to ask God. He email me back one last time saying “I asked God and God said [give it some time …]”. This floored me. Years later after a bad accident the police ask me if I were ok and when I said yes they ask me where my passenger was. I said that I didn’t have one, so they pointed to about 10 people who had described him. They called in more police with flashlights but didn’t find anything except my rosary. More recently when I went to confession out of town the priest gave me advice on beauty and settling down. After thanking him for absolution he called me Man. |
