Question: If someone before you has buried an amulet or evil object that was blessed and smashed if possible and it is dug up without your knowledge. Planting, renovation, dog digging, etc. can the evil return because it was undug?
Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Linda: Once an blessed or cursed item is destroyed (no longer resembles what it was) the blessing or curse ends. Thus, there is no danger if you happen to dig up an item that had been destroyed, then blessed, and buried. Just re-bury the item. If the item dug up was not destroyed (still intact), the curse still ceased when it was blessed and buried. There is no danger. Dear Linda:

Once an blessed or cursed item is destroyed (no longer resembles what it was) the blessing or curse ends. Thus, there is no danger if you happen to dig up an item that had been destroyed, then blessed, and buried. Just re-bury the item.

If the item dug up was not destroyed (still intact), the curse still ceased when it was blessed and buried. There is no danger. In this case I would destroy the item, if it can be destroyed, re-bless it, and bury it again.
