Danger of Spiritual Warfare michael Wednesday, June 18, 2008

Question:

Hello.

How would I know if I am ready to become a spiritual warrior?
What do I need to do to prepare for this task, what are the dangers, and how can I protect myself, and more importantly, my family? I want to do this, and I also want to be (safe?) and effective, as much as I can anyway. I live 2 doors from an abortion clinic. Will this affect how things go. As yet, I have experienced nothing paranormal, just the traditional attacks on my spiritual life. temptation, distraction etc.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Michael:

Anytime you actively participate in spiritual warfare things can happen. But, God is with us all the way. Nothing happens that we cannot handle, even if negative things happen.

If you are overly worried about this to the point that you do not wish to take the risk, then you are not ready to be a spiritual warrior. You must trust in God.

As for the abortion clinic, pray your prayers to close it down and to save babies. This does not involve anything more intense really although even that much can put you on the devil's radar.

Avail yourself of Protection prayers found in our SW Prayer Catalog linked below.

As for attacks, the "traditional" attacks, as you call them, are not "just", they are far, far more dangerous than any paranormal parlor tricks. Protect yourself by living the good Catholic life -- frequent Sacraments, adoration, devotions and prayers as any good Catholic would do. Then in addition, any spiritual warfare prayers that are applicable.

Be not afraid.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
