Paranormal investigators- Evil? (response) Anna Thursday, April 3, 2008

Question:

Thank you for the advice and will look at the recommended reading.

When I said the others are Christian, I did not mean to imply that Catholics were not, by all means. I apologize for my improper wording. I just meant that they all believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, some are Catholic while others are Baptist, Presbyterian, etc. Forgive me.

The "Seven Kinds of Ghosts" is fascinating to read and we will be sure to share this together. We only wish to be more knowledgable but do it and a safe manor. thank you.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Anna:

I know that you did not mean to imply that Catholics were not Christians, but that is the language you used. I pointed it out because careless language will unintentionally promote prejudice.

We all need to be aware of the devils "schemes" in order to "be on guard" (1 Peter 5:8; 2 Cor 2:11; Eph 6:11). But, we must be VERY careful not to become too interested and too curious as to seek information we really do not need to know.

C.S. Lewis wrote: "There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to not believe in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an unhealthy interest in them."

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
