Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Catherine: Well, I haven't the time to read the book, but I glanced at some excerpts. From what I saw it looks okay. Og Mandino may have been a Christian personally, but he was not a Christian writer. He wrote with a Christian flavor, but he was mostly a motivational writer and speaker. Much of his advice comes from the techniques of good habit making. I would be cautious as his work could be peppered with ideas not Christian, or not Catholic (I do not know, I am just saying be on the lookout). Most of the time we can find books that are clearly Catholic in motivation and intent. It is always better to stick to those. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page.
