Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Joseph: The New Rite of Exorcism has been de-toothed. It does not have the bite of the Old Rite and thus it is rather ineffectual. Fortunately, the Church has made the New Rite optional. Exorcists may still use the Old Rite. Here is an Interview with Father Amorth on the subject. God Bless, Bro.
