Question: Brother, Have you heard of or read this book? It centers around Maria Simma, an Austrian woman who puportedly is visited by souls from Purgatory. I've read most of it--at the very least it is interesting, at best, a vivid reminder on how we should live our lives so as to avoid Purgatory. What do you think of this? Here's a website link--http://getusoutofhere.com/ Thanks for your opinion. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Gary: This alleged visionary has not been approved by the Holy See and for that reason alone should taken with a grain of salt. But, from what I can find out about her, I think this person was obviously not having experienced from God. All this talk about "secret knowledge" is improper and dangerous. And this "confirming Medjugorje" is ridiculous. She is not qualified to "confirm" Medugorje and neither is anyone from Purgatory. That job is given by the Holy Spirit to the Holy See alone. If you have the book about her, I would use it for a doorstop and nothing more. God Bless,
