Spiritual warfare prayers for others Michele Tuesday, November 6, 2007

Question:

Hi Brother Ignatius Mary,

My brother has no patience and get angry very rapidly. I believe demons are the reasons but he will never accept this idea and I don't want to tell him.

I pray spiritual warfare prayers daily for him and once a week, I cast out the demons, remotely, from my place.

What do you think?
Thank you,
Michele

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Michele:

I think that one needs to be very careful in trying to diagnose spiritual problems when one is not qualified to make such diagnosis.

Lack of patience and quick temper can be and most often is a personality or psychological issue. There would have to be a LOT more to this story to conclude that a demonological factor is involved.

You may pray for your brother, but you are NOT qualified to be "casting out demons". This is dangerous. You place your brother and yourself in danger by messing with things that you are not qualified to do.

Additionally, "casting out demons" from someone without their knowledge normally has no effect since in order for demons to leave and stay gone a LOT more has to happen than mere prayers to cast them out.

Pray for your brother, but do not overstep your abilities. There are prayers in the SW Prayer Catalog linked below that you can use.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
