Dear Suzanne: I am sorry to hear about your father. There are certainly some prayers that I would recommend for you to pray on behalf of your father. All these prayers are found in the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog linked below. I would pray at least the following prayers found in the Catalog:
The particular spirits to rebuke will include the spirit of alcohol, the spirit of addiction, and any other spirit that you think may be involved. You identify the spirit by attribute, such as the spirit of anger, lust, bitterness, depression, etc. You can also try to encourage your father to return to God, but that must be done without nagging -- just gentle loving encouragement. We will be in prayer for you and your father. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
