Question: After reading your awesome website, I have a question about something that happened to me in college 16 yrs ago. It was Saturday morning and I was laying in bed fully awake when I heard a male voice say several times "you're so stupid" I could not physically move. It was a dorm room that I had to myself. Being a dorm room who knows what evil had taken place there. It wasn't alcohol since I don't drink. Was this a demonic encounter? Is it still with me? which might explain feelings of despair that I go thru. thanks so much
Question Answered by Mr. Joe Meineke Dear Tim, Yes, it is possible that what you experienced was a demonic encounter. We always need to be careful, however, about automatically assuming so. There are natural phenomenon that can also be the possible causes of your experience such as Cataleptic Somnambulism and Hypnagogic Hallucinations. Demons can cause these types of experiences which can easily be indistinguishable from the natural phenomena. Regardless of the cause, the answer is the same: Prayer. Since you are having feelings of despair, I would err on the side of caution and go through the self-help exercises on the St. Padre Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling website. In addition to this, you may also want to consider talking to your physician about the feelings that you are having. There could be an underlying medical condition that needs to be addressed. If you are still having problems after you've tried these things, you may want to consider contacting us once we have opened back up for new clients. I hope that this helps. Question:
