Question: Why is it i hear my name, just my namein my right ear, right before something terrrible happens? For instance, we had horrible fights with my daughter whom is nineteen. A few years ago i heard both female and male voice, only in my right ear too, and i had a hard time consentrating praying then. Then the first time this happened was during adoration I heard my name, in mt right ear just saying my name, the next day my husband lost his job.
Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Mary: This could be something psychological or it could be something spiritual. While the proximity of these voices to "something terrible" happening may seem connected, it probably falls within the technical mathematical probabilities of coincidence. But then most things do technically fall into those mathematical probabilities even if they are not, in fact, coincidence. If this is a spiritual manifestation, then we need to explore why it is occurring. To do that would involve knowing a LOT more information about you and your history than is possible on this forum. What you may try for the time being is to pray a prayer rebuking the spirit of the voices. The "rebuking" prayer found in our Spiritual Warfare catalog can be modified to use that way. When this happens you can also say a quick prayer such as, "In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask you Father in heaven to stop these voices if they are not from you and cast away from me any evil spirits. Deliver me from their harassments. Amen." If the rebuking prayers and this prayer above do not seem to help any, then you may need to contact me. God Bless, Bro.
