Question:

I have been having horrible 'nightmares' which i asked about in a previous question and had that answered but i have been having a new one where i am standing in my kitchen and a 'Nun' appears, dressed in the traditional black and white habit. She says she has come for me and I won't win this one and then she physically assaults me, pushes me to the floor, jumps on top of me and starts pressing her thumbs in my eyes, asking me what I know, her face appears distorted and she is laughing, then St Michael appears and says "No!"....what is going on!?!

I have no-one to talk to or turn to with this....I went and spoke to my parish priest, who, without being disrespectful to him, told me that it wasn't a priest I needed but a psycologist! I left my Church feeling completely let down. I have always been a very spiritual person and from an early age have been 'aware' of the Angels, especially Michael. I have also been very aware of the presence of satan and his personnel in my life. Why? I am nothing special.

Why have I been what appears to be, singled out? Has God a plan for me? I don't know anymore, I am beginning to think my parish priest was right...can you help me?

With Love and Blessings In Jesus Christ Our Lord xxxx

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Angela:

As mentioned in previous posts, dreams are usually a creative way to work out anxieties, fears, and concerns. To interpret the reason for a dream requires knowing about what is going on in your life. In this regard it can be helpful to seek out counseling with a Catholic Counselor, if possible, to discuss the dreams and any significance they may have to whatever is happening in your life right now.

On the spiritual side, this dream may be similar to the last one you posted about -- a dream that shows you the power of God over evil through St. Michael. In each of these dreams St. Michael comes to your rescue.

Instead of interpreting these dreams negatively, try considering them a positive message from God. God may be trying to show you that He is protecting you, that St. Michael (and your Guardian Angel) are there to protect you thus you need not fear.

Whatever else the message from God may be, the first thing I think you need to learn from these dreams is to not fear. God is by your side, St. Michael the Archangel and your Guardian Angel are standing with you. Even in the face of great evil, they are there to protect you. Trust in Him.

This is a wonderful message.

Perhaps the reason God is allow these dreams to reoccur is that you still need to learn to not be afraid. Once the fear leaves, the dreams will probably cease.

As our Holy Father as said so often: BE NOT AFRAID!

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
