Did I give correct advice lisa Thursday, October 31, 2019

Question:

Dear Brother,
I am the same lisa that inquired about heroic act on another forum just 2 days ago. I feel dread and almost hopeless about this issue I am about to discuss.

My daughter who is 26 was talking to another woman online. The woman was talking about her own so-called spirit guide that is jealous and protective of her. My daughter is not a practicing Catholic but she is savvy enough to realize that it didn't sound like a benign spirit, and so she instructed the stubborn lady that it sounded evil.

Latter on my daughter went to bed and had a nightmare of something holding her down while a bunch of other spirits surrounded her, egging on the "attack." She just now asked for my help, but I know the safest way is to pray Jesus Christ save her. I told her to pray to Blessed Mother, and to ask for her Holy Angel ( I said DON'T ask for a spirit guide---ask for Holy Angel!) St Michael be with her too. And for my mom and dad to pray for her as they are now with Jesus.

I say I feel dread and almost hopeless because I have a job interview and my husband informs me now, just as my daughter just told me her issue, that our only car needs to be fixed and is unusable.

Understand that we have been having problems with financial stability for most of our 29 year marriage. We have no home, and if it weren't for the generosity of good relatives, we'd be on the streets. Thank God my brother in law can take me to my job interview! Through most of the poor luck we've had, God shows His kindness.

Thank you for your answer whenever you can answer. Pray for Celine( the one who was attacked); Zoe; and Alexa--- my daughters.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCD, LTh, DD, LNDC

Dear Lisa:

Do not despair. God has promises in Roman 8:28 "We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose."

God is not a liar. He says that all things work for good. That means the good and the bad work together for some good that God has for us. Have faith that God is not lying to you. He never lies. We can always trust His promises.

Another promise of God is found in 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

What a wonderful promise from a loving Father. If there was any temptation that we could not resist, God will not allow it into our lives. Thus, if we are tempted by anything WE KNOW FOR A FACT that we can resist it because God says so. He would not allow it into our lives if we could not resist it.

God gives us the way of escape from our temptation. We only need to accept that way, that door of escape. That is our choice. God will not force us through that door, but it is there for us to use if we want it.

Accept God's promises. Know that something good will come of this eventually in God's time. Know that you can resist the temptations to dread.

These travails are a wonderful opportunity for you to practice Heroic Acts. Lift up the suffering you are having to our Lord and Blessed Mother for the poor souls in purgatory. The lifting up of our sufferings to God and our Blessed Mother is the most power prayer on earth after the Holy Mass itself. Resist the devil trying to bring you down and steal his thunder by turning around this suffering to a glorious grace that comes by offering all this to God and our Blessed Mother.

We will pray for you and your family.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
