Question: I have a large 18" Blessed statue of the Infant of Prague that was dressed by Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration and has a 4" diameter ornate metal crown placed on His head. Once when I was in the room, I heard a snap sound and the crown flew off the head of the statue and landed on the floor 6 feet away. It was a frightening experience. Was this supernatural phenomenon of God or of the devil?

God does not do such things, but this phenomenon is common as a demonic event. Fix the statue, have it blessed, and take this has a back-handed compliment. The devil is threatened by your devotion. Dear Michael:

From your description of the head landing six feet away, which I presume has no explanation, I would say this was a paranormal event of the devil. God does not do such things, but this phenomenon is common as a demonic event.
