Is it truly him? Sophia Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Question:

Hello, I didn't know exactly where to put this question but I believe this field is the most accurate.

Would you guys consider this as a way of manifestation of Saint Micheal? It all started before bed, I remember praying to Saint Micheal asking him to help me gain enough courage to face the issues that might come sometime in my life. After I finished and fell asleep, I had three dreams that night, which is somehow unusual for me since I usually only get two.

In the first dream, I was in my garage when there was a red bag with something in it, an unknown person suddenly walked over the bag and opened it, revealing it to be a corpse. Since I am a little sensitive and couldn't bear the sight of it, I ran away and hid behind a car, so I didn't know whose body it was. Many people started to gather around the bag and were muttering words to each other, words I couldn't figure out.

The second dream was a little more pleasant. I was in a rocky cliff on a beach-like location and the water below it wasn't any ordinary sea, it had the colors of the rainbow, a very nice sight actually. My friends were swimming in the water, there were telling me to come over but I remember I was scared and didn't want to jump. Suddenly, I just leaped off the cliff and landed in the water, a sunset appearing and a unusual peace surrounding the environment.

The third and final dream took place in my garden, white pigeons starting to appear out of nowhere and landed in my arms, shoulders, hands... Literally everywhere. The funny thing is, after I woke up, I headed to my kitchen for some breakfast but saw in the newspaper the name “Michelangelo” as the title of a report about a museum exhibit.

I truly believe these three dreams have a very special meaning to them, but i'm open to any opinions. Thank you very much for reading this long post.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCD, LTh, DD, LNDC

Dear Sophia:

Dreams are usually the subconscious creatively working out the anxieties, fears, excitements, joys, sorrows, and other emotions and events of our day. The dreamer is usually the best interpreter of her own dreams, but any interpretation needs to always be taken with a grain of salt.

But, here goes...

The first dream seems to be about fear of death. The second dream seems to deal with an initial trepidation, perhaps the death of self, but once you take the plunge into the warm waters of our Lord, you find peace. The third dream is perhaps a vision of heaven where all is in peace and harmony.

The dreams progress from fear of death, to a trepidation to die to self, but once taking the plunge (and act of faith) you find peace, or the eternal peace that is our reward when we die to self and fall into the arms of our Lord. St. Michael is one of the angels who escorts us to heaven.

I hope that helps.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
