The Rosary for Protestants? | Phil | Saturday, December 31, 2016 |
Question: Hello. Thank you for your wonderful site with such applicable information. My question is can Protestants pray the Rosary? Is it proper and effective if we should also ask for the assistance of Mary in our spontaneous prayers? Happy New Year. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), LTh, DD
Dear Phil: I praise God that you have found our site useful. Yes, Protestants can pray the Rosary. Anyone can pray any prayer or you can pray spontaneously. The Rosary is a special prayer, however. Actual battles have been won by the Rosary. At Lepanto a small Catholic fleet of ships won a battle against an overwhelming Turkish Muslim invading force and saved Christianity in the West.
You can read a detailed account of this pivotal battle won by the Rosary at The Battle that Saved the Christian West. The Rosary is the most powerful personal devotion prayer in the arsenal of the Church. I encourage you and all people of any denomination to seek our Blessed Mother's intercessions. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
