Question: Hi my friend who is a Chinese person who is kind of pagan /agnostic ent to Hong Kong bought me a icon with images of Jesus and Mary . I had it blessed by a priest at church but I feel that there is negitive influences attached to the item when I touched it I felt heaviness . Should I get rid of this object . Surely God's blessing is much stronger and if there was a negitive influence it should have left because of the images of Jesus and Mary and the priests blessing Thanks
Question Answered by Dear Nelson: A formal blessing from a priest should dispel any curses or demonic attachments that may have been on the icon. God is greater than any curse or demonic attachment. Most likely your sense of heaviness is psychological because you know where the icon came from and are concerned. I do not think there is anything to be concerned about.
