Could it have been my mother? Anne Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Question:

Twenty four years ago my mother died. I was terribly despondent and sad over it. I could not let go.

About a month after her death, I finished the laundry and went to bed. As I drifted off to sleep, I heard someone talking to me. It was a very positive experience, kind of a pep talk. It went something like this: "I know how upset you are. But, you have a life to live, and even though you don't care now, you must continue on. I still love you, and I'll always love you. I am closer to you now than ever....."

In the morning I asked my husband if he was talking to me during the night. He said he wasn't.

Losing my mother was very difficult. The person or whatever it was never came back. Do you think God let my mother talk to me one more time?

Dear Anne:

Yes, this may have indeed been your mother. God does allow this to happen at times. God is a loving and merciful God. When we need it, he allows such things to happen because he loves us and knows that we need the encouragement from our loved-one. Praise God.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
