Question: My sister has had ghosts in her house back when she lived in Illinois. She has since moved to California. She seems prone to seeing these things, and at the time, she described one of the ghosts as a tall, young, light-haired guy wearing a farmer's overall outfit. Her husband saw him, too. I wondered what it could have been when we were kids. We shared a room, and our parents were always fighting with my grandmother. It seemed there was no peace in the house. One morning when my sister and I woke up, she said she saw what she described as a man in dark clothing standing there at my side. He just stood there, and then faded away. Apparently he was observing us. It scared her, but at the time, I thought it was her imagination. I asked her about it recently, after all these years. She told me if she had not seen it, she would not have said she did. So, we never had this happen again, but I wondered if this man may have been a demon and if all the commotion in the house brought him there? As I said, she seems to pick up on these things, but I don't.

Your sister's seeing a ghost that was also seen by her husband increases credibility even for one who is prone to these things and may as such let imagination run away with her. It is also true that some people are more sensitive to these experiences than others. As to what the ghost was that your sister described can be demons or purgatorial ghosts.
