Question: Dear Brother Ignatius Mary, Is there a way to remove the reiki attunements, the reiki "power," from a family member by proxy? I am concerned for my wife. She grew up Catholic, and in the last 10 years fell away and is heavily into new age. She received the 1st and 2nd level reiki attunements, and also engages in dowsing, crystals, and contacting spirit guides. If I express concerns about the occult origins or question her new beliefs, I am told it shows I don't love her and don't support her. It's because I love her that I am concerned for her. I frequently bless the house but I when I am at work the next day she performs her rituals to "re-cleanse" the house. I feel like I'm fighting a daily battle for her soul and the souls of our children. She used to be happy and outgoing with many friends. But now she is angry, uses profanity, and is not pleasant to be around, and her friends (mostly Catholics) no longer associate with her. She replaced those friends with people who share her new beliefs. What can I do to help pull her away from the the new age/occult?
