Crucifix flew off the wall | Jeanne | Wednesday, March 18, 2015 |
Question: Dear Brother, I am Jeanne who asked a question on July 22, 2013 that you answered about Freemasonry. That situation is much better; my husband has not paid his dues, is not attending, and has recently been to Confession on the matter (unfortunately last summer a priest told him being a member was not a problem) but now he is telling me he is out of it, although he as made no official resignation. I now have my daughter living with us, who is having post (civil) divorce problems of great magnitude and she is involved in alcohol and substance abuse related to the domestic violence. When she left her home she left a crucifix under the mattress of ex husband's bed, as she was invested in saving the marriage and hoping her husband would turn to God. We no longer have that hope, but the crucifix is still there in his house and it is within view of our home. We are involved in professional help, she has had a blessing of the sick and also been to Confession. One morning two weeks ago, which was to turn out to be a particularly horrible day for me with her, the crucifix in my kitchen flew off the wall in an arc and landed face down on the floor. I was very startled as it happened just as I turned my back. It did not fall straight down and drop, but hit the floor hard making a crash which is why I immediately turned and saw it. It was on the wall above the sink. By the way, the crucifix is only 8 x 4 inches and was given to my husband at his Confirmation three years ago this Easter. It iI have had other creepy things in my life so this is not the first thing, but this was so pointed and offensive. Also, my son is a priest with a Traditional group and I always wonder if my family suffers more because a family member is a priest. Have I just been reading too much Father Gabriel Amorth? What could this mean? Anything? I have used your warfare prayers regularly for months now for my daughter and family and her ex. |

Question Answered by
Dear Jeanne: I am glad to hear that things are getting better. Whoever that priest was that said that membership in the Masons is okay ought to be horse-whipped. Catholics may not be Masons and remain in a state-of-grace. I glad to see that your husband as left the Masons and attended to Confession. He really needs to formally resign of the Masons. All he needs to do is write a letter and mail it to the lodge. I am sorry to hear about your daughter's divorce and her substance abuse. It is excellent that you and she are getting professional help. The crucifix flying off the wall in an arc, instead of straight down, certainly indicates the possibility of demonic presence. If your son is a loyal and obedient servant of the Church this can also cause your family to be on Satan's radar. I would recommend that a priest come to bless your house. Then you need to follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below. Also, in our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, also linked below, you will want to pray the Hedge Prayer of Protection for yourself and the other Hedge Protection prayer for the household, and any other prayers that will be useful to you. Do that for a couple of months and see if there is any relief. If not you can make an appointment for a consultation from our Appointment Calendar. We will be praying for you and your family. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
