Dear Paul:

Sorry about the missing links. You will now find the links at the bottom of this page.

As to why God allows all this tragedy, I have already explained that in my last post. God will not stop people from making bad decisions because He has given us Free Will. Our own Free Will decisions is what causes marital breakups, for example. Sometimes other people's Free Will decision negatively effect us.

Then there is just life. We live in a fallen world thus people get sick, people die prematurely, natural disasters happen, etc. God has to allow this because all this is the result of the Free Will decision of Adam and Eve in their Original Sin. We are all effected by Original Sin in our own behaviors and in the fallen world around us.

There is also the possibility of a family curse as I have already explained.

As for why God does not heal your family right away there are several possible reasons:

1) we must persevere and work hard. If we gain healing too easily we will tend to take it for granted.

2) we have not renounced all the "hooks" in our life.

3) God may not heal us until we learn something.

Only God knows, but I suspect one of the things you need to learn is abandonment and resignation to God. You are not doing that. Instead your pride and lack of faith is causing you to be desperate. Give up your desperation. Until you do you may not be healed.

To be a committed Christian you must abandon yourself to Christ and accept whatever suffering you have. Lift up your suffering to Christ for the salvation of souls. Do something positive with the suffering instead of whining about it. This will take power away from the devil and may help many people to be saved. None of that can happen, however, until you let go of your desperation and allow God to bring something good out of your suffering.

(Rom 8:28)  And we know that all things [good and bad] work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Be sure to pray the abandonment prayers found in the Seven Steps. You must persevere. You must also stop the thinking errors. There is no such thing as "I can't take any more." God will never allow anything into your life that is too much to bear.

You are being tempted to despair, to blame and doubt God, to question God, and to not resign yourself to Him. God says:

(1 Cor 10:13)  No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Either this is true or God is a liar. God is not a liar and He always keeps His promises. God says that He "will not let you be tempted beyond your strength" and has provided you with a way to escape this despair and lack of faith. But, God will not force you. It is up to you to choose that way of escape.

We are praying for you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
