Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCL, LTh, DD, LNDC
Dear Michael: I am sorry to hear about these problems. I suggest you follow our Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance and use our Spiritual Warfare Catalog both linked below. There are some deliverance prayers in that Catalog that can be useful to you, as well as other important prayers. There are some medical conditions that can cause that "crawling" sensation. It can also be demonological. One cannot jump to conclusions. This is why we have the most extensive program to train Deliverance Counselors in the world. It takes 3-4 years, including an Internship to graduate from our Academy, and then another three years in "residency." Deliverance involves a LOT more than saying a few prayers. In addition to what the priest does for you also follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. I am a little concerned about this person who claims to have the "gift of discernment." What you describe she is doing sounds more like New Age occultism. The gift of discernment is the "ability to perceive good and evil spirits; and also to perceive the spirit of truth from the spirit of error in a profound and sublime manner" 1 Cor 12:10]. Seeing blobs and serpents around your neck sounds like observations mediums and psyches make. But, since I have not talked to this woman, which I would like to do, it is hard to tell for sure. You can find out more about spiritual gifts in the article, Charism Gifts Building Up the Church. As for the source of your harassment, it may be very well sourced in a curse or in multiple curses. In the Catalog is a prayer to break curses. Keep in mind that these problems usually do not resolve with one session of deliverance. You must persevere no matter how long it takes. Even solemn exorcisms by the Church often have to be done dozens of times. Even then there is no guarantee. Be sure to look at the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. If you find no relief after the priest prays over you and you have tried the Seven Steps, we can arrange for you to go through our Deliverance Counseling, which takes a minimum of three months. We will be praying for you. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
