Question: Dear Brother, Please help me to understand. Can a person, living far away, who is ( or was to my knowledge) involved in occult and divination, be under demonic influence and then again- its happening again- causing me and my family harm through calumny? And through potential physical assaults? I feel like this person , this spirit, will not leave us alone I am afraid for my family and the children. If I can understand what is happening it would greatly help me in how and what I pray and what I can do to call on all the angles and saints. I am meeting with priest today for special time confession to be sure I am in state of grace...because I think maybe I was left unguarded and left a portal open by incomplete confessions and that this is how this person is reappearing in our lives, once again causing havoc and chaos. I always worry about this. I am 5 mos back into the faith, I am older lady, and still learning a lot. Thanks be to God for His great mercy. Thank you for your prayers Brother, God Bess, Dian

Demons can go anywhere on this earth. Be not afraid. God is more powerful than any demon. You do not need to understand what is happening. In fact, oftentimes there is no reason for evil to do its thing. Evil is often arbitrary. You need to let go of the idea of trying to understand all this. Instead, be in prayer, as I mentioned to you in the past post. I would also advise working through the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below, to ensure that any hooks in your own life that may give demons the excuse to harass you. Live the best Catholic life you know how to live. Work towards holiness. Avail yourself of applicable prayers in our Prayer Catalog. Trust in God. If you so all these things and you are still harassed, then thank God for allowing the harassment. God would not allow it unless He has a reason that will benefit your soul. We are praying for you.
