Question: Dear Brother Ignatius, A family member had been practicing New Age philosophies now for many years and had done all sorts of initiations etc. He has also been practicing Shaminism and has done the drinking of the Ayawaska. He has now admitted that he has been hissing like a snake while smoking hash. He says that the hissing is involuntary........ He is coming home soon on holidays what precautions should we take as he will be in my home and in contact with my family? What do you make of this hissing sound? Many thanks Karen

Dear Karen: Based upon what you have posted, I would not allow this family member to stay with you in your home, and really to not visit you at all at your home. It is frankly too spiritually dangerous for him to visit you in your home. Even if you visit with him somewhere else, I would bless yourself and your family with Holy Water and say a prayer of protection before seeing him, and again after the visit. If you embrace him like normal you can be encouraging his dysfunctional and devilish behavior. He needs to know that his behavior and beliefs are so egregious that he cannot visit you. Then, perhaps we will eventually get it that he needs to change his ways. You need to realize that you run the risk a demonic transference (one of his demons may stay in your house after he leaves, or even cling to you personally). If you are not willing shun him, then be sure to tell him that a condition of his visit he is not to do ANY of his practices or smoking while in your home, or while he is in town. Bless your home beforehand, each day he is there, including the bedroom he uses, and after he leaves. The hissing can be a psychological phenomenon as being a pothead, or a result of his involving himself with demons, which is what he is doing whether or not he realize it. God Bless, Bro.
