Picture falling off wall Crystal Monday, June 3, 2013

Question:

Dear Brother,

Normally I'm not a superstitious person, but this has happened in the past and I'm really concerned and would like your opinion.

Tonight it started raining and I went to close my living room window. While doing so, I pulled the blind and my hand knocked against a picture which fell off the wall. The last time this happened, my Uncle was visiting a picture just fell off the wall and shortly after he died.

I've heard that when a picture falls off a wall it is a sign of death. The reason this frightens me is because I had a dream about my Grandfather recently and in the dream I was seeing a Dentist about my teeth; whereas I've heard dreams about teeth are associated with death too.

I'm also concerned because my Mother was in the hospital about a month and a half ago due to an inner ear problem and a B12 deficiency, however she is getting better, but I also have a B12 deficiency and other minor ailments and I pray that nothing bad happens to either one of us.

Is this a superstition and what should I do about it, as I'm really concerned.

If you could give me some advise, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
God Bless,
Crystal

Dear Crystal:

What you are describing is pure superstition. This is contrary to Christian teaching. These events are coincidental and have nothing whatsoever to do with demons, spiritual things, or even common sense.

You need to rid yourself of these thoughts and not listen to the utter nonsense such as "when a picture falls off a wall it is a sign of death."

Do not fear the nonexistent. Be on guard against the devil seducing your into such nonsense. Be not afraid. Trust in God. Stay close to Him, and shut out all of this superstitious blather.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
