Question: Dear Brother Ignatius I got very sick three years ago and was bedridden and in alot of pain for the best part of a year. During this time I also had a rash on my skin which is associated with arthritis normally the doctors toid me, but I was very itchy and crawley so I thought I had scabies infection. I used all the medicated treatment creams and lotions for this condition for a long time but it still didnt clear up. I next visted a dermatologists, doctors and a tropical disease consultant who tested for lymes and blood parasites, this all came back negative! I suffer alot with this condition, cuts and lesions also on my skin, cant sleep at night, my life is virtually at a standstill. I was in abusive relationships in the past got prayed with in prayer groups and healers within the charismatic prayer ministry. I moved away to another area to live but felt alone and heartbroken and got lax with my Catholic faith again after being delivered and healed, I fell into the sinful habits again got sick now its three and half years since I am suffering with a feeling of mites or insects crawling under my skin and biting and lesions, I am converted back to my Catholic faith and involved in prayer groups and attend mass and confession on a very regular basis, I try to offer up all the suffering in union with Jesus on the cross for my past sins and conversion of sinners, the holy souls in purgutory! I have been prayed with on several occasions by trained deliverance lay people and exorsist priests but did not get healed. There is no medical evidence or treatment for this condition, doctors think I am delusional! Its so bad I can see these little black insects all over my house and in my clothes they look like glitter! I have been told this is spiritual as no body else has got them. Could this be spiritual insects that attached to me when I fell out of grace after being healed the first time? Doctors said no insect can live under the skin of humans only scabies! Brother Ignatius have you ever heard of something like this coming from evil spirits as this is a misterious afflicition ruining my life? Thank you for your help in answering this question Brother Ignatius as I am desperate for some answers to this living nightmare. By the way there is forums on the web of other people suffering these symptoms with no answers! I also got involved with lots of new age therepies and fortune tellers, reiki, yoga meditation, bioenergy healing, horoscopes, mind body and soul festivals, aquapuncture etc, etc in the past but have renounced all this for years and have totally converted by regulary going to mass, confession, saying the rosary and prayer meetings, also some family members are involved in alot of new age activities for years now. Could this be coming through the family bloodline and is it spiritual or physical Brother? In the past couple week I have been in-and-out of hospital and doctor's offices, with more to come. Thus, I am behind in my correspondence and Q&A's. The symptoms you are having can have one or more of the following sources: 1) Medical: Conditions such as benzodiazepine withdrawal, menopause, and scabies can cause these symptoms. From what you are saying the medical causes have been eliminated as a possibility in your case. 2) Psychological/Psychiatric: There is a psychiatric condition called Delusional Parasitosis that also has these symptoms. If you have not been evaluated by a psychiatrist, then you need to be. 3) Demonological: There can be a demonological explanation in some cases. The solution to this is to attack the problem with prayer. I advice going through our Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below.
