Question:

Brother Ignatius,

3 quick questions...

I've began talking to my father after 25 years of not knowing him. I've had a few encounters with the demonic due to a sinful lifestyle and so asked him if he ever had anything similar happen, or if his side of the family had dabbled in the occult etc. He said once he was with some friends and one who claimed to be an atheist insisted they do a seance at a grave yard. He didn't participate, but while leaving on horseback he said he saw a "ghost" and it "passed through him." Do evil spirits commonly pass through people, and if so for what purpose?

He lived a sinful lifestyle as well and at one point asked a group of Protestant Christians for answers as to why he was drawn to evil; one told him he had a spirit of murder.... He'd never killed anyone but his father killed someone "justifiably" in a hotel room while he was an infant and present in the room. Is it possible a spirit could have attached to him in this extreme act of violence?

My stepfather mentioned the other night he smells like sulfur when showering. What is the demonic link between the smell of sulfur, and do you know of any medical conditions this could be linked to?

Thanks for all you do and God bless,
Joseph

Dear Joseph:

1) The illusion of a ghost passing through someone is most likely just that, an illusion created by the demon masquarding as a ghost. Such an experience would be frightening, which is what the demon intends.

2) Yes, it is possible for a demon to attach itself to your father who was present as such a violent act.

3) I do not know any medical condition that would smell of sulpher, but I am not a physician or a biochemist. It can be a sign of demonization.

Based upon these events you describe your father ought to be going through the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below, presuming he is interested in being a devout Christian, which is required in order to be delivered from such things.

In addition, you and all other family members ought to be praying the "Renunication of Ancestral Sins," found in our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, also linked below.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
