Scared I Caused My Own Problem Via Witchcraft. Emma Saturday, March 2, 2013

Question:

A few years ago I went through a phase where I was into using what I will basically call "witchcraft". I was very lost and alone and wanted to believe I could change my life "magically" and so I was often casting spells and the like.

About a year later, I began having extreme panic problems and they seemed to come out of nowhere. Other people who practice this particular form of witchcraft claim that the magic can "backfire" on those who use it if they are inexperienced or are using it for negative purposes.

I have a secret worry that I am living the consequences of my witchcraft days.

Am I worrying over nothing?

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Emma:

You should be worried as dabbling in witchcraft can and usually does put you on Satan's radar.

But, since you have identified yourself as an agnostic, there is not a whole lot you can do about it, as the solution is only with Jesus Christ. You can at least renounce these past activities, but without the Church and Christ you are left vulnerable. Healing and deliverance is only through the Church and Christ.

While you can use the prayers in our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, linked below, these prayers are not magick. Without the faith behind it the prayers are just words.

I would suggest that you consider converting to Christianity, and specifically in the Catholic Church, which is the only Church founded by Christ personally. God gives is all sorts of ways to deal with these issues through His Church, but we must be validly baptized and practicing the Faith to effectively use those methods of protection, healing, and deliverance.

We will pray for your situation, but more so that you will find the True God and His Church, the God that loves you so much and wants you to in His fellowship.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
