Question: Brother I need a prayer against lust and temptation to drive lustful demons away from my spirit and soul, How can I protect myself against sexual temptation? I have queer demons chasing me and I really would like St. Micheal to cast them out in the name of Christ. I've said the St. Micheal prayer, but at times I get depressed and feel as if God hates me and does not care about my quality of life after multiple failures i don't feel like much of a man and it has made me feel feminized being unable to succeed while watching these others I know drift buy in life who do not believe in God at all; while I struggle to help provide for my widowed mother and nephew ( The Son) of my drug ridden brother and his ex wife whom want nothing to do with him being in and out of jail constantly.

Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r) Dear Jeb: In our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, linked below, are prayers for your use, especially Prayer To Confess A Lustful Heart, Prayer To Control Thoughts, and Rebuking Particular Spirits. This last one you rebuke the spirit of lust and ask for the spirit of purity and chastity of mind. Rebuke this spirit of lust as often as you need to. If lustful thoughts happen 50 times a day, then rebuke the lust demon 50 times a day. You can use a shorter version: Father, I rebuke this demon of lust. Cast it away from me, Oh Lord. Give me Lord, a spirit of purity and chastity of mind. Amen. Then pray regularly the Hedge Prayer for Protection of Self. You also need to purge from your mind these thinking errors, such as "God hates me and does not care about my quality of life after multiple failures". God loves you and cares about you. When you say or feel these things you are calling God a liar. God is not a liar, He keeps His promises. This is coming from a pretty high level of Pride and envy as seen by your statement, "i don't feel like much of a man and it has made me feel feminized being unable to succeed while watching these others I know drift buy in life who do not believe in God at all" and the feelings that God doesn't love or care for you. That is all pride. Then you end with a prideful whining, "while I struggle to help provide for my widowed mother and nephew ( The Son) of my drug ridden brother and his ex wife whom want nothing to do with him being in and out of jail constantly." Along with the spirit of lust, you need to rebuke the spirit of pride and envy. Pride and envy also needs to be confessed in the Sacrament of Confession. I advise that you pray the Litany of Humility daily. And finally, work through the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, also linked below. We all need to accept our lot in life. If you will do these things, you should find yourself closer to God and perhaps delivered from demonic harassment. Lust is one area that we do not need any help from the devil. We can do it all by ourselves. The prayers above will hopefully take care of the demonic element, but you will have to discipline yourself to stop lusting.
