Delivered from the effects of 'the secret' Agnes Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Question:

I am a catholic and my faith is central to my being. I partly read the book 'the secret' without knowing that it was new age, and as soon as I realised I went to confession and threw the book in the garbage.

I was distracted, tempted with blasphemous words at the Holy Eucharist and suffered greatly. I only recently did tell the person who recommended this book about the harm that I have been caused and not to recommend it to anyone. I feel better after having done that.

I want to be cleansed fully of what entered my mind by partly having read the book. I have suffered much over the past 2 years ever since I first came in contact with the book. Suffered spiritually, mentally, emotionally and now even physically. I want to be set free and delivered and healed. To live for our Lord Jesus Christ, to consecrate myself to Him, and to serve His purpose in my life wholly.

Please pray for me.

Dear Agnes:

You did the exact correct thing: get rid of the book, go to confession, warn the person who recommended it to you.

It sounds like this book had a profound effect upon you, that is, the book apparently allowed a demon(s) to enter your life and cause you havoc and harassment.

In addition to confession, which you have already done, you need to renounce your brief involvement and take back the ground that Satan stole from you:
Prayer After Confession To Re-Claim Ground Taken By Satan

I also recommend praying the following prayers from our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog:
Hedge Prayer for Protection of Self
Renewal of Baptismal Promises
Prayer of Victory
Prayer for Filling of The Holy Spirit
Prayer To Put On The Armor Of God
Prayer to St. Michael for Protection
Prayer to our Guardian Angel to Watch Over Us

And listen to this priestly prayer of deliverance. Join your prayer with his:
Priestly Prayer of Deliverance

When you have unwanted thoughts, try this prayer:

In addition, the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance is a good thing for everyone to do. It is linked below.

We will certainly be praying for you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
