Question: This morning I found a dead bird on my front step. It sort of freaked me out. Does this mean something for a catholic, or is this fear just superstition? I had received some amazing answers to prayer just the day before and we also put a statue of Mary in our yard the day before too.
Question Answered by Dear Ann: There is nothing unusual about finding a dead bird on your front step. That happens a lot from a bird killed from hitting the window of your door and breaking its neck, to a bird just dying and happens to die on your door step, or a cat catching the bird and placing it on your door step. Absent of any other issues, this is just a dead bird. We do need to be careful about spiritualizing everything unless there is other evidence of something going on besides the presence of a dead bird. God Bless, Bro.
