Still feel cursed and concern about a Neighbor Crystal Monday, August 20, 2012

Question:

Dear Brother,

I had written to you awhile ago about that I had felt I was cursed due to my past association with people of Santeria. The reason I felt like I was cursed, is because there was young man of this religion who liked me and when I rejected him; things in my life changed. As I developed multiple illnesses (not life threatening), difficulties with finances, friendships ending, not meeting anyone to begin a relationship with and more.

I have said a lot of the prayers you suggested, but it still feels like I have a curse on me because things seem to improve and then go back to the way they were.

Also, I'm concerned about a Neighbor who lives next door to me, and is of this religion. She does have a nice personality, however this woman is overly inquisitive whereas on occassion she has asked personal questions about my finances, how old I am, things pertaining to my relatives and more. I try to answer the best way I can without revealing too much, but it is beginning to bother me.

Recently she had went on vacation to her country which is the Dominican Republic. When she came back, she was wearing a beaded necklace associated with Santeria and often using incense and other products to clean with and has statues and other related objects in her home; as she was not like this before visiting her country.

She has made reference to the size of my apartment as mine is bigger than hers and her mother jokingly suggested that we switch. After that she asked me how much my rent was in which it is more than hers.

I have concerned about this woman because I feel that she wants my apartment and also about the past association I had with individuals of this religion and what I need to do to rid any curse or demonic activity.

Although, I never did anything in regards to initiation or the like in Santeria, but did have acquaintances of it; do you feel that I am attracting people involved with it and so much misfortune?

Brother if you can please give me some advice as to what to do, I would appreciate it because there are times when everything is fine and then despair and unfortunate circumstances reoccur and I just want and pray for Spiritual Freedom.

Thank you,
God Bless,
Crystal

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Crystal:

I am sorry to hear that you are still having these problems.

You need to persevere. In terms of curses, it is possible that these people are casting curses on a regular basis. Thus, you need to pray the Breaking Curses prayer on a regular basis.

Also, you need to be sure to go through the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below. I know you are not Catholic, so when you go through the Steps, on parts that refer specifically to Catholics, you can substitute something equivalent that is from your Faith Tradition.

It sounds like this nosy neighbor is asking questions that are totally inapproprite. Do not answer such questions. Tell her that you do not feel comfortable answering personal questions like that. If she insists or persists, then you may have to more abruptly telll her that you are not going to answer personal questions. She might be just a nosy neighbor, then on the other hand this personal information can be used by occultist.

If this person wants your apartment she may be casting spells.

Frankly, I would consider moving across town from where you are living now, far away from this person, whenever that is possible. And be sure to NOT give your forwarding address to her.

Theoretically, because of your past associations, and because these people may be casting curses, it is possible that you are attracting these sorts of people. Or, for whatever reasons, these people may be keeping track of you.

You counter that by living the best Christian Life you know how to live. Attend Church every Sunday, get involved in whatever Church you belong to, say your daily prayers, develop devotions like the booklet, Our Daily Bread, read and study the Bible daily, and say spiritual warfare prayers, such as the Hedge Prayers daily. The Breaking Curses prayer can be said daily, or say it at least regularly.

Do not accept any gifts from these people and do not let them into your house. Occultists will be looking for items that belong to you, such as strains of hair, to which they can use in spells and hexes. Gifts can include curses and hexes. Do not accept food from these people either. Food can contain hexes and may be adulterated with nasty things.

Be not afraid. Keep in mind that most curses, spells, and hexes fail. In fact, many of them boomerang back to the spell-caster. Satan treats his own badly.

Also remember that God is more powerful than any curse, spell, or hex.

(1 John 4:4)  You are of God, little children, and have overcome him. Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

And remember these wonderful promises of God:

(Romans 8:35, 37-39)  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ...  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isn't that a wonderful promise. We are conquerors through Him, and nothing can separate us from God's Love. But there are more promises here in Romans 8.

(Romans 8:28)  We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

This wonderful promise means that no matter what happens in our lives, for good or bad, God will take those experiences, even the bad ones, and work it for good. In other words, God can take the lemons on our life and make sweet lemonade.

While you may not be able to see it now, God will bring your current troubles to some good end. Maybe part of the lemonade is to bring you closer to God, to become more devout, I do not know. But, I do know that God does not lie, that he keeps his promises, and this promise will come true in your life in some way, unless you reject God's offer to make lemonade.

We will be praying for you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
