Question:

Hi, I was informally raised as a catholic, and became a practicing wiccan, before realising that I was wrong, and reverted back to Catholocism. Will god forgive me? And what is the possibility that I could have picked up some demons?

Thanks

Dear Pat:

I praise God that you have found God again and have come home to His Church. That is wonderful

It is equally wonderful that, Yes, God forgives all sinners who come to Him in repentance. I assume you have confessed your Wiccan involvement in the Sacrament of Confession? If you haven't then you need to immediately.

If you make a good confession, then God does and will forgive you; your slate is wiped clean.

As far as demonic attachments, it is hard to play in Satan's sandbox without getting his sand in your shoe.

God may have given you a gift of removing all bondage and attachments from your life as a Wiccan, and is protecting you from any harassments -- sometimes a person can come out of witchcraft without any baggage.

You certainly need to avoid anything in your life that even remotely smacks of witchcraft, the occult, or the new age in a manner like an recovering alcoholic avoids alcohol.

Live the best Catholic life you can. Life the victorious Christ-Life. If you find that you are having troubles with demonic harassment, then look to our self-help page and/or seek personal consultation with a deliverance counselor.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
