attacks from evil spirits | Floriane | Wednesday, March 16, 2011 |
Question: Many years ago , I started suffering from nightmares: but not the really nightmares that one suffers, my nightmares appeared to be real and I was scared, didn’t know what to think about them. It was like I was living another life during the night, like my spirit was going out of my body: during the night, I could feel like I was attacked, beaten, raped and I just could feel everything in the morning. at the beginning, I thought I was becoming crazy, as for a short time I was no longer able to make the difference between illusion, dreams and reality, it was like I was leaving “real dreams” . At the same time, I noticed that everything became harder in my everyday life, even the most simple thing was becoming very harder for me , which reduced my social life into nonexistent. Later I started to go to mass and pray rosary regularly, and I also started worshiping god in a small renewal group: it helped a lot but was unable to heal me completely but it really improved my state in a most noticeable way. I also had noticed that praying during the attacks was really helping; they just seemed to disappear or decrease. Last year, I met a catholic priest (an exorcist), I talked to him a lot, he asked me many questions, prayed for me, and after 2 days he told me that I have many doors open to evil spirit resulting from many things: - From ancestors , mostly from my mother side ( inherited from occultic activities from them , magic , idolatry and fetishes , Over time, with prayers, mass and confession I’ve got rid of my things, but not completely. After a long discernment and prayer to the Holy Spirit, I have come to the conclusion that my deliverance depend upon 3 most important things listed below (in terms of importance) = I still feel my spirit going out of my body during the nights, I do not do that intentionally, it even scares me but I become aware after the whole process, fortunately sometimes I find myself battling a Force trying to pull My Spirit Out Of My Body …. What makes me think it always occurs like that: some force pulls my spirit out of my body ….and take on control of my body for unknown reason. And afterwards, I feel things moving in my heads, or my stomach, and I can feel them go out either by my nose or my mouth (it ‘s like the air going out , but it shakes my whole body, I also can feel things entering my body buy my nose, ears , mouth or neck…… (I just need to find a way to prevent my spirit to go out of my body and prayers don’t seem to help me???. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)
Dear Floriane: The priest has given you good and sound advice. The process of deliverance, however, can be a long and hard one. There are never any guarantees that one will be completely delivered because God may have a plan that is in the best interest of the afflicted person. St. Paul was afflicted by demonic harassment in which he asked God three times to take the demon away. God said no three times. We know why because the Scriptures tell us that St. Paul was a proud man and this affliction was allowed to keep him humble. Our Lord told St. Paul that his grace is sufficient and St. Paul learned through this that in his weakness of affliction he was strong in Christ. Regardless, we can do all that we can do to attain deliverance, such as living the best Christian life we can, frequent reception of the Sacraments, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, daily prayers and devotions, and expressing our faith in works of charity. We can pray spiritual warfare prayers to fight against the evil forces and continue to ask for deliverance from God. What I advise you to do is to follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance linked below and also pray some of the prayers in the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog also linked below. The prayers of Renunciation of Ancestral Sins, Breaking Curses and Spells, Bedtime Prayer of Protection, Rebuking Particular Spirits, and the Hedge Prayer of Protection are some that come to mind that may help you particularly. In whatever happens you must abandon yourself to God's will. The Seven Steps has an exercise on that. Perseverance is the key to the Christian life and it is the key in situations like this. Persevere in the faith no matter what. Count your sufferings as blessings by offering that suffering back to God for the conversion of lost souls. This is one of the most powerful intercessory prayers -- to offer one's own suffering up to God and our Blessed Mother on behalf of others. If you find no relief from the advice I have given here, then you may need to ask the priest to work with you specifically on deliverance, or you may contact us for deliverance. We will be praying for you. God Bless, For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
