Question: Dear Bro.Ignatius, Thank you for all the work you do on behalf of our Lord ! Wanted to share an experience with the Green Scapular - a Sacramental of the Vincentians who are the ones authorised to make same . A young 6 y. o girl who seemed very aggressive and disturbed seemd to calm down and become peaceful almost within a min. or two of being given the Green scapular to hold ! Her mother confessed to keeping Tarot cards given to her by her mother but not wanting to get rid of same yet ! They have also been given Divine Mercy image cards and St.Benedict medals ( the Abbey in Schulyer , Nebraska would send them for an inexpensive amount and they come with the exorcism blessing ! ) and hopefully would recieve the grace of conversion , to be rid of all that is not of our Lord and to be led by the Holy Spirit ! Again, thank you for helping many in our struggles against powers and principalities ! God bless !

We need to pray that she will burn them. A blessed object, like a scapular, has in essence the fingerprint of God upon it by virtue of the blessing. The effect of this can be like a No Trespassing Sign to demons. However, like a no trespassing sign in our backyard where some people respect it and others do not, the same is for demons. More powerful demons can ignore this sign. The real power of an sacramental is with the faith of those who use it. We must remember that sacramentals are not talismans; they have no power in themselves. What does this mean in terms of this little girls? Well, the fingerprint of God, the blessed object, coupled with the faith of the person who gave it to her may well indeed give her protection and peace. But, do not misunderstand. If her mother refuses to give up the tarot cards and does not submit herself to the loving arms of Christ, the little girl will always be at risk.
