Prayer intentions in your spiritual warfare Lisara Thursday, September 2, 2010

Question:

Hello, Brother Ignatius, I hope you are well!

I had to write you this even though I am not sure if you will post this, but I hope you will since there is no other way to have a reply from you. I know you don't answer private e-mails, but I will understand if you can't get to reply. I will just continue praying my thanks to God for all your help.

I am so grateful to you for turning your "lemons into lemonade", as you so aptly put it in a post I read that you wrote. I read your detractor/malefactor chronicles. I had a small intuition that you had some hate mail---well it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I knew it would come with the territory of spiritual warfare.

I also know of your troubles and am so encouraged by your overcoming some of your past trials. I know the story, and I want to say the best of us have overcome our sins...but I am still working on me, so I don't include myself in that bunch of people.

If you have looked over my past posts, I have been pretty confused at times, and even questioned my own belief in God and have even taken some farout spiritual routes, as in temptations to the occult. I am ashamed of that. I even desired to be a witch at one point. Anything to take me away from what made me feel insecure about my self-worth. And I thought that God was always pointing a Finger at me, waiting for me to trip, and I just wanted to belong to something that didn't make me feel so inept.... All that glitter isn't gold is such a trite over-used saying, but SO very applicable to my spiritual journey.

I owe you lots of gratitude. I could have been one of those hateful people who sent those Q and A posts, but I am not today because I reached out to you instead of attacking. There was so much despair in what I read of some of those posts....a despair that I sadly can identify with. I have come pretty close to feeling that way at one time. Despair mixed with anger that turns into hate. I have seen the dark, and now I have seen the Light. The evil one lies and says there is no use in turning to God and that all help is lost, but that isn't true.

Again I thank you for giving your life to God and turning yourself around. I also want to say that I am NOT a "groupie", but a friend in Christ throught the Blessed Mother. I will keep you in my rosary intentions.

Lisa

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Lisa:

I thank you for your testimony and for your kind words. Frankly, I needed such words. Things have been very stressful here the past month and a half. I had three "mini" strokes about a month ago (no permanent damage), largely brought on by stress I imagine and other health matters. It is good and comforting to know that this apostolate has actually helped someone.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
