Question: I so appreciate your prompt reply to my question about occult addiction. One thing I forgot to ask about, each time I have broken an addiction or compulsive behavior, I have done it swiftly and finally. For example I had an eating disorder for five years and then just one day stopped. Same thing with the psychics and such, just one day stopped (albeit after much prayer.) Isn't the very nature of an addiction that it is almost impossible to control. Does my ability in these cases to stop almost entirely point toward it being the result of something outside of myself? I thought a true addiction (if it is just physical or psychological) would always be a struggle. To be honest, today as I sit here I can't even relate to the old days of wanting to abuse my body through binging or the despair that would propel me to seek a "fortune-teller." I would love to think I "kicked" these things but from my understanding this is not how addiction works. In my heart I believe through prayer and seeking God's protection I have been set free from strongholds. |

Then burn the item if it is burnable, if not, break it apart if possible, or otherwise destroy it if you can so that it no longer resembles what it was. Then bury the remains in the ground.
