Question Title Posted By Question Date
Curse on an individual Cilla Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Question:

Br.Mary,

In response to one of your questions about removing a curse you state: That it is more to removing a curse on someone and all he "hooks" of satan and it takes more than prayer to do that.

I was just told by a "spiritual healer" that someone put a curse on my husband or some type of witchcraft on him. He also has another woman in his life, which in 30 years of marriage has never had a desire to find another woman. (we are separated) and he has no plans on coming home. And the curse was so bad that at one point he was considering sucide.

I believe something happened to him, because he has changed radically from being a family man, loving husband and caring father with love in his heart. To a selfish very prideful man. He is NOTHING like he was when all this curse happened to him. Can this be true? And if so what can I do? I have been dealing with this for over 2 years. I am still praying. But I feel alone. I do not know what God wants of me? What is Gods plan? Please help me.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Cilla:

I am sorry to hear about your marriage and the wayward road your husband it taking. There is nothing, however, that you can do directly. No one can help him if he doesn't want help. If he wants help, to be free from any curse or other demonic attachments, he was come forward to ask for help. He must then be willing and able to do what is necessary to secure freedom -- live a good Christian life, receive the Sacraments in a state of grace, come back to you, etc.

What you can do is to pray for him. In our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog we have a Prayer for a Wayward Spouse. I suggest you pray that one.

Persevere in prayer for him until your dying day. You are not alone. God wants him back in the fold, but God will not force him to choose to do the right thing. Your husband has the freedom to choose against God if he wishes, but your prayers and the prayers of others may put pressure on him to come to his senses.

We will be in prayer for him and you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
