A bad dream Joe Monday, January 11, 2010

Question:

Brother,

I hope all is well and you had nice holidays this season.

My question is this: I had a disturbing dream last night where this woman tricked me into annointing my forehead and lips with this olive oil/maybe mayonnaise mixture telling me it was Holy. I know this sounds funny but I remembered your lesson about how to test a spirit and I grabbed her by the shoulders and asked if she confessed Jesus came in the flesh and she would not do it. She would say she confessed He did not come in the flesh and I got very angry with her. The rest of the dream involved the occult and sexual themes so wasn't much better for a Carholic trying to be chaste :).

Just wondering if you have any thoughts or if it's possible I may have been cursed in the dream or something. Sometimes I do feel like I get attacked in dreams. And you know it sometimes even seems worse when I say your bedtime protection prayer! But I say it anyways so maybe it's really all just in my head.

God Bless

Dear Joe:

It is certainly possible to be attacked by the Enemy in our dreams. It is not possible to be cursed by them in a dream; a curse has to come from a human being.

It is also possible this was just a dream, but whether a mere dream or a demonic attack the dream shows that you have won the day against the Enemy. Your response in the dream was to test the spirits. That is exactly what you should do. Good work!

Keep up your prayers, including the Bedtime Protection prayer, no matter how much that may upset the Enemy. Upsetting the Enemy because you pray and devote your life to God is a good thing. Let the Enemy stew in his self-pity (which is one of the primary reasons they attack us in the first place).

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
