Question:

I have spent my entire life waffling between Christianity and paganism.I am a confirmed catholic. I am also serving as High Priestess of a Wiccan coven right now.I have rejected paganism for Christ several times and then turned back to it. I am also set to begin teaching for an online Wiccan seminary.

However, recently I have had personal revelations that tell me that this is a 'carrot' being dangled by Satan to keep my focus away from God/Christ.

I'm worn out from the roller coaster. I want to be faithful to Christ and his church but I seem to fall away easily. I cannot take communion due to the need of an annulment/recognition of my current marriage. I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Julia:

I praise God that you have chosen Christ over the devil.

What you must do immediately is...

  1. to resign as High Priestess and resign from all membership or connection with any coven or other wiccan or occult group.
  2. You need to sever all friendships and acquaintances with that life. Have nothing more to do with them -- they must be entirely out of your life with no connections to them at all, not even a letter, phone call, or birthday call.
  3. You must destroy all occult, wiccan, pagan books and supplies, materials, clothing, jewelry, or any other paraphernalia. We have a document that describes how to do this: Procedure to Destroy Occultic or Cursed Objects
  4. Then you need to follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance linked below.
  5. Also pray the Renunciation prayers in the SW Prayer Catalog as well as the prayer to Break Spells and Curses, the Hedge Prayer of Protection, the Rebuking of Particular Spirits if needed, and any others that may apply to you.
  6. Live a good Catholic life as best as you can, doing all the things that good Catholics do, such as daily prayers and devotions, going to Sunday Mass each Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation, spending time (at least one hour per week) in front of the Tabernacle in Adoration of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. All this can be done even if you are not able to receive the Eucharist at this time. At Mass just simply stay in your pew and prayer while others are going forward to receive. But, it is critically important to attend Mass even if you can't receive.
  7. Immediately talk to the parish priest about making petition for Nullity of your previous marriage. If that is granted then you may have your current marriage convalidated in the Church and begin to receive Confession and the Eucharist.

All of these things are not suggestions, they are MUST DOs.

If you still have problems, even doing all this, then you may what to contact us through the HELP REQUEST form linked at the bottom of the HELP page linked below. If the Help Request Form is turned off, try back later in a few weeks.

We will certainly be praying for you in your journey back to Christ and His Church.

God loves you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
