Women's head cover Rob Tuesday, July 20, 2004

Question:

Dear Brother Ignatius, Thank you for this website. It is a noble and holy work. I pray that you may overcome any discouragement that you encounter in your work so that we do not lose the opportunity, provided by this web site, to deepen our faith. My question is simple. I have learned just how much of the mass is scripturally based, and how as catholics we really do obey what scripture has to say. But how do we justify that women no longer wear a head covering at mass, as Paul directs us in 1 Corinthians 11:5-6? Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Rob

(c) The titles of Acolyte and Lector belong exclusively to the Installed Offices of Acolyte and Lector, who are men (only) appointed by the Bishop. These roles performed by others are Altar Servers and Readers, respectively.
